When you're caught up in the daily grind of school or work, it can be easy to lose sight of what makes you happy. So many people work for the weekends, spending the majority of their week being miserable and unmotivated. It is so important to make your happiness a priority. Although sugary and processed foods may make you feel happy in the moment, they will leave you feeling tired and hangry a couple hours later. Fuel your body with foods that will best support you like colorful fruits and veggies, healthy fats, and clean proteins.
Move Your Body
Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and improve your cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health. The best type of exercise? Something you actually enjoy! If you hate lifting weights and running, try spinning and barre. Even low intensity exercises like walking are beneficial (and are highly underrated). Studies have shown that lack of sleep can impact levels of neurotransmitters and stress hormones, which then impair thinking and emotional regulation. In order to make sure you’re functioning at your best aim to get between 7-9 hours of quality sleep every night.
